While Microsoft was launching
a new web email service, Outlook.com, to the public today, another one of the big three web email companies was experiencing some technical problems of its own. A large number of users of the Yahoo Mail and Messenger services have reported that they have been unable to log into their accounts or have experienced performance problems today.

reports that they have received a statement from Yahoo which says:
Yahoo! Mail, Messenger and other areas of Yahoo may currently be inaccessible or slow to respond to some users in certain locations. We are working to correct the issue and restore all functionality immediately. We know that this may have caused some inconvenience and we apologize to our users who might be affected.
