Works my computer well? (high DCP latency)

Hi,

I have bought a new laptop and I think that it has some issue. Last day I installed Windows 10 and I checked DCP latency with latencymoon.

Then I decided to disable some drivers (network and bluetooth). I did another DCP latency test.

You can see that in the second case I don't get very high DCP but I think it's not good because If I run DCP latency checker I get yellow bars.


I'm a DJ and I need to get less DCP. Is the laptot the problem? What can I do?

Hi,

Did you hear audio glitches after disabling network and Bluetooth devices? DPC Latency Checker provides false results on Windows 8 ans later, as stated on the program's website:

Windows 8 Compatibility: The DPC latency utility runs on Windows 8 but does not show correct values. The output suggests that the Windows 8 kernel performs badly and introduces a constant latency of one millisecond, which is not the case in practice. DPCs in the Windows 8 kernel behave identical to Windows 7. The utility produces incorrect results because the implementation of kernel timers has changed in Windows 8, which causes a side effect with the measuring algorithm used by the utility. Thesycon is working on a new version of the DPC latency utility and will make it available on this site as soon as it is finished.

Thanks Cutter! I hadn't heard it, I'm calmer. Is there another program that can check DCP Windows 10 latency?
