Hey everyone,

I have followed few of the posted instructions within some thread I have found here and learned a lot.
However I was not yet able to solve my issue...

I have one Windows Server 2022 Standard which does not install any CU update anymore.

I have already tried many things but had no success so far.
My starting point is currently the CBS.log: I have attached part of it to this post.
My last action was to download and run the component scanner to look for corruption: I have attached the report to this logs.

I guess that I already tried the most common troubleshooting steps (CMD: Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth, CMD: sfc /scannow, PS: Reset-WUComponents -Verbose) and I'm now stuck.
Any ideas that could help me to go ahead?

Thanks in advance to all of you who'll read this post

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

Upload your COMPONENTS hive.
  • Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file.
  • Please copy this file to your desktop.
  • Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
  • Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To > Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your desktop.
  • If the file is too large to upload here, upload the file to www.wetransfer.com and post the link in your next reply.
