[FONT=&quot]Server 2012R2 VM running Exchange 2016. Brand new VM. Had issues checking for updates. Manually installed April 2016 Windows Update update.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Have tried multiple times to install any rollup update. Have installed all other critical updates normally.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Get's to about 62% on the second reboot and then starts to roll back.

Here is a one drive link to some shared log files

I have already posted to technet without an acceptable solution:

KB3205401 fails to install Error 800F0922 Server 2012R2 VM

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi and welcome to Sysnative. Let's see if we can get you fixed up. Do you have any of the following services disabled on your server?

App Readiness
Background Intelligent Transfer Service
Windows Management Instrumentation
WMI Performance Adapter

Can you Enable Windows Management Instrumentation and attempt the update again?

That was is it! How did you know to look for that?
Best answer I got on technet was to do a repair install.

Thank you so much!

Educated guess. I saw the following in your CBS.log. The error code (I highlighted in red) screams that a service is missing or disabled. The trick is finding which one. when I saw that it dealt with .mof files and wbem I suspected WMI.

Code:
    Element:
    [138]"<mof xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v3" name="$(runtime.[COLOR=#0000FF]wbem[/COLOR])\NetTCPIP.mof" uninstallmof="$(runtime.wbem)\NetTCPIP_Uninstall.[COLOR=#0000FF]mof[/COLOR]" />"
[gle=0x80004005]
2017-02-07 11:57:28, Error CSI 00000008@2017/2/7:16:57:28.037 (F) CMIADAPTER: Exiting with HRESULT code = HRESULT_FROM_WIN32([COLOR=#FF0000]1058[/COLOR]).

I'm glad it worked out and you are welcome.
