You can do this by unbinding the adapter in the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box: Click Start, and then click Control Panel. Click Network and Sharing Center. In the View your active networks area, click Local Area Connection, and then click Properties. On the Networking tab, clear the Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) check box, and then click OK. Once this is done, check for updates and see if it works.

I attempted to restart the Windows Update services after the change I made to the IPv6 setting, but it would not restart and it's stuck at a "Stopping" state. I'll reboot and try checking again. I'll keep you posted. -Pyro Attachments WU2012.zip 2.3 KB · Views: 1

Step#1 - SFCFix Script Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop. If you still have this on your desktop from downloading previously, you don't need to re-download. Download the file below, SFCScript.txt, and save this to your Desktop. Save any open documents and close all open windows. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCScript.txt. Drag the file SFCScript.txt onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it. SFCFix will now process the script. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please Attachments SFCScript.txt 154 bytes · Views: 6
