I have a Windows10 Pro laptop in a workgroup and have Microsoft Edge disabled, and ran sfc /scannow and is displaying corrupt. Its causing problems where if I copy a website favorite shortcut to the desktop that it doesn't open and displays an Edge style icon instead, if I try to open the shortcut Edge will open and close. I have attached a screenshot of the sfc /scannow as well as the CBS.log for your review. I am trying to make it that the OS is no longer corrupt, Edge is disabled, and that desktop shortcuts with a url displays in IE11. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Not that a repair install won't most likely work, but just using DISM might.

Please see: Britechguy's Standard "Windows 10 Revival Script"

I already discuss that there's frequently a need to run DISM if SFC can't fix something. And even if DISM does say everything's fixed, I typically run SFC again for good measure to see what it says then.

If that doesn't work then a Repair Install is definitely the way to go.
