Hello, Hello! Hope everyone is doing well.

I have a Windows 2012 (non R2) server which will run through the update install process, whether manually downloaded or via Windows update, with no directly visible failure or warning but post reboot all updates are still available. This happens with all updates.

I ran through the recreation of the SoftwareDistribution folder and other initial update issues steps, including SFC and DISM, but the problem persists. Finally, after checking the quick tutorial, reading through previous threads, and a few other sites, I was not overly confident on where to start from the CBS log side...so I am hoping for some direction/help, as it would very much appreciated!

Quick list of some updates that ran through the process and never properly installed (not including any superseded ones from previous attempts)

KB2992611 - Security Update for Windows Server 2012
KB4540726 - Servicing Stack Update for Windows Server 2012 for x64-based (2020-03)
KB4556400 - Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework
KB4562252 - Servicing Stack Update for Windows Server 2012 for x64-based Systems (2020-06)

Please see the link below for the requested logs.

DISM & CBS logs

Hi!

Step#1 - FRST Scan

1. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
2. Right-click FRST64.exe and click Run as Administrator to run it as administrator. When the tool opens, click Yes to disclaimer.
3. Please ensure you place a check mark in the Addition.txt check box at the bottom of the form before running (if not already checked).
4. Press Scan button.
5. It will produce a log called FRST.txt in the same directory the tool is run from (which should now be the desktop)
6. Please attach the log back here.
7. Another log (Addition.txt - also located in the same directory as FRST64.exe) will be generated Please also attach that along with the FRST.txt in your reply.

Hi Softwaremaniac, is there a next step without providing the logs generated from running FRST or something specific from the logs I might be able to provide?
