Having multiple problems. We recently had a ransomware event. We caught it early and encrypted data had been backed up so that was good. We had a local IT company come in to clean things up. The infection itself was not on my machine but I have had other issues surrounding the "cleanup". The IT guy used a combination of Malwarebytes, CCleaner, Stinger and some other things. Unfortunately, once Malwarebytes was installed on my machine it would not run. I got a "Bad Image - opengl32dll" error. I have been working with Malwarebytes on this but it is clear that there are some core OS issues, including permissions. I was unable to even run the event viewer until I used an online fix. Since then I have also run Spybot Clean and Destroy, done some defrags, done some disk scans which did catch a few bad locks and fix them. I also ran Windows All-in-One Repair. Have been working with Malwarebytes tech support and forum as well as Sysnative on another thread: ( https://www.sysnative.com/forums/wi...-malware-cleanup-malwarebytes-doesnt-run.html ).
So, in addition to the Malwarebytes problem there have been other issues:

So, in addition to the Malwarebytes problem there have been other issues:
- Windows updates don't always complete successfully.
- sfc /scannow does not always run successfully (see CBS logs)
- Some system services may not be running. For instance, the event viewer would not run because of permission issues. I ran a script someone gave me to solve that but there may be other permission issues in the OS.
- There may be others that I don't recall. This has been going on for about a week. Some things seem to be working better but not all. Malwarebytes still does not run after all this and re-installing still get the mbam.exe - Bad Image error regarding opengl32.dll not being designed to run on windows or it contains and error.
