I have been going through the Widows updates that I have gotten behind on. I found that they would not go through if done in one giant conglomerated update. So, I went through and did little by little in chronological order, based upon the release dates. I have gotten all to succeed, accept for the last 2. (Updates KB4467107 and KB4467108) <There should be 2 error window images inline following this sentence.>

Ive tried to update direct from Microsoft, and to do one at a time, but no luck...

I preformed SFCScan/fix all came up as ok. Here is the Link to LOG Files

I saw the screenshots, that's not what I'm asking.

Let's try it differently, pick one update and attempt to install it.

Step#1 - Capture Process Monitor Trace
1. Download and run Process Monitor. Leave this running while you perform the next steps.
2. Try installing the update just like you have in the past.
3. Stop Process Monitor as soon as it fails. You can simply do this by clicking the magnifying glass on the toolbar as shown below.

4. Select the File menu...Save... and save the file to your desktop. This is likely the default location. The name (unless changed) will be LogFile.PML. This is fine.
5. Zip up and attach the LogFile.PML file as well as your CBS.log

ok.. so I installed one and it was successful for some reason. then I tried to install the other ().

It said it successfully installed in the windows update window, but it required a restart. I clicked restart and it said it was configuring. it got to 15% then restarted then it went back to configuring and then it errored saying the configuration was unsuccessful and it was reverting changes. then it restarted again (after reverting) and when windows started I opened the ProcMon and stopped and saved the file. Here is the Zip with the CBS log

And this is where windows update is at now:

Great! I see the error now.

Step#1 - Export registry as hive

  • Click on the Start button and in the search box, type regedit
  • When you see regedit on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator.
  • When regedit opens, using the left pane, navigate to the following registry key and select it by clicking on it once.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Component Based Servicing
  • Once selected, click File > Export....
  • Change the Save as type: to Registry Hive Files (*.*).
  • Name this file ComponentBasedServicing (with no file extension) and save it to your Desktop.
  • Right-click on the saved file and choose Send To -> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
  • Attach the .ZIP file to your next post.
  • If the file is too large to upload here, upload to SendSpace and just provide the link here.
