Windows Updates Fail

I've been having trouble with my windows updates for a while now, and I think the cause is because some things in the registry are corrupt or missing. Components was missing but I managed to load the hive, but that did not fix it. I've also tried system refreshes and restores, but those always fail. I even tried to install windows 10 but it failed as well. I have windows 8 and a 64-bit operating system. Starting to run out of options so any help is greatly appreciated!

Would like to also note that about a year ago it would automatically log me into a temporary account instead of my own for windows so I think I messed with the registry then to make that stop. That could be one of the causes.

Thanks!

Oh my goodness it's fixed!!!! First thing I noticed was that I had like over 120 windows updates. Before there were only like 5 and they would fail. I was even able to install iTunes. Wow you are awesome!!! Thanks a bunches. I still have to reboot to finish some updates it says so if anything goes wrong there I will get back here.

I have noticed that I will install the updates and it instructs me to restart my computer to finish them. When I restart something goes wrong causing them to fail. At first when I go back to windows update it only shows a few available. Then I will x out and go back to windows update again, and it shows how many I originally had to begin with (which is around 116).

That is not one I have seen before.
