Hi i am helping my friend w her computer, it is vista 32 bit. I restored the computer back to factory settings because it had so many corrupt files and windows updater didn't work.
Well windows up date still isn't working properly, It says it needs to install service pack 1 so i install sp1 it says install successful, check update history its there as successful, check properties its not listed.
Download Fix it tool didn't help any, download system readiness tool , after installing readiness tool it says computer has never been updated, i run service pack 1 and same issue as before not listed under properties i made sure her anti virus was off but still no sp 1 under properties. Please help this computer is for home schooling her son so it needs to be up to date for some programs to function and i don't know the next steps to take.
