I've recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate (64bit) on my new PC, and Windows Update was always problematic. At first, it always tried to install the updates every time my PC started, but failed and rebooted the PC another time.
After a bit of messing around with some of the settings and searching the net for solutions, I'm only left with the Windows Update application telling me: "Windows cannot update important files and services while the system is using them", and prompts me for a reboot which never fixes anything. I've tried many solutions but none of them had worked.
From what I saw this forum is quite good at solving problems, so I've decided I'll give it a try.
