Hello Sysnative,

I've seen quite a few of the same issue that you guys have been able to help people with. Windows update just constantly says it needs a reboot to process an update but it never shows it "configuring windows" while rebooting and it never lets me check for new updates because it keeps needing this reboot.
Win 7 Pro - 64Bit in a domain environment.
I've run the windows update fix it tool. Says it fixed things but didnt fix my issue.
SFC /SCANNOW found no errors to fix.
I ran that SFCFix.exe from this site but it also says it doesnt find any errors.
I've attached the CBS.zip file here.

Hoping you can help me! Otherwise it's getting a re-image! Thank you for your time and assistance!

Not sure what the deal is but I cannot get the CBS.zip file uploaded. Tried FF, Chrome, IE and allowed pop ups. Just spins on uploading and nothing ever shows up.. :(

Hi and welcome to Sysnative. As this machine is on a Domain I need to ask if your IT group should be handling this or if they are aware and OK with getting outside support.

BrianDrab, Thanks for the response I was actually just coming here to make note that we got it taken care of. I'm actually in the IT department but I was having a major brain fart that day haha. Basically killed the need for the "pending reboot" in the registry and now its finding updates and updating.
My Google-Fu was having tunnel vision. :)

Thanks again Sir!

Hi!

I have the exact same problem as ayoung0987. Since you solved the problem could you please explain to me how did you do it?

Thanks a lot

Every situation can be unique so it would be dangerous to apply steps from a previous thread. Please start your own thread here at Systnative and someone will assist you. Thank you.
