Any assistance you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, I also attempted to manually update with failed results.

Thanks,

Okay, now I am really confused. I tried to run windows update and it failed to install,... I think. When I ran the update, the screen showed 8% progress then rebooted and said it could not complete the changes and restored my machine to its former settings.

The installed updates screen shows no indication that the update was ever installed, yet my Update History says it completed successfully twice??? I ran a manual install and got an error message that said the update is not applicable to my system.

I took screen shots of all this and my system info and attached them to this message.

I sure hope this makes sense to someone. At this point I would be happy if I could just hide the update from my machine so it would quit telling me I have important updates to install every time I start my computer!?!
