Good Day
Have a laptop. No apparent virus/trojan/malware (McAfee LiveSafe, Malwarebytes, AdwareCleaner,HitmanPro, Kapersky root kit checker, etc all show no issues.) but may of had some in the past.
Trustedinstaller.exe and the Windows Update Service process seem to use more CPU and disk cycles that expected at different times. On machine startup usually have them run for quiet a bit longer (when compared to other machines) which usually means something ain't right with windows update.
I've done some winSxS file replacements in the past to fix some simple correction but I think I may have some more serious issues.
Most of the Windows updates have been applied (some Trickled down today, and some more has just shown up.. AUGh...). New strangeness shows up in the CBS log with each application of windows updates.
I've run SFC /SCANNOW in safe mode (twice), rebooted in Normal, and the run SFC /SCANNOW, with the following consist ant items showing up:
After running the above SFC command multiple, sfcfix was run showing only 1 error relating to notepad but nothing else
Any assistance in sorting this out is appreciated.
Sincerely
Paul

SFCFix results
4 CBS.LOG attached showing the results at different points in time.
Note: one CBS.LOG was crazy huge after a bunch of updates were installed (600 + Meg. Gave up on trying to review it as it was just too much info.). I renamed it in safe mode and re-ran the SFC checker which provided more reasonable log size of around 1 meg

- "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\en-US\iassdo.dll.mui" Cannot repair, Hashes failures in WINSX folder
- Tons of "Look to never be processed" "\SystemRoot\WinSxS\Temp\PendingRenames" (running multiple SFC along with restarts and they still remain)
- Tons of Ignoring duplicate ownership for directory (wtf?)
- Some Expecting attribute name [HRESULT = 0x800f080d - CBS_E_MANIFEST_INVALID_ITEM]
- Some Failed to get next element [HRESULT = 0x800f080d - CBS_E_MANIFEST_INVALID_ITEM]
- Aside: The Notepad issue is most likely result of Context Text Editor, where I said ok to Replacing Notepad
After running the above SFC command multiple, sfcfix was run showing only 1 error relating to notepad but nothing else
