Hi

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

I will look into your problem.
Note: I'm currently in training so my posts will need to be approved by the Sysnative instructors.

Hi,

Download the

Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop:

Download the 64 bit version: - Farbar Recovery Scan Tool Link
  • Download the attachment fixlist.txt and save it to your desktop.
  • Right-click on FRST.exe and select "Run as administrator".
  • Press the Fix button.
  • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally.
  • When finished, a log called Fixlog.txt will appear in the same directory the tool is run from.
  • Post the logfile Fixlog.txt as attachment in your next reply.

Start the

Farbar Recovery Scan Tool again.
  • Note: Your antivirus program may report FRST incorrectly as an infection. If so, disable the real-time protection when downloading and running FRST.
  • Right-click to run the tool as administrator.
  • Note: Ensure that the Addition.txt check box is checked at the bottom of the form within the Optional Scan area.
  • Press the Scan button.
  • Please wait for the tool to finish. It will produce two logfiles called FRST.txt and Addition.txt in the same directory the tool is run from (which should be the desktop)
  • Post the logfiles FRST.txt and Addition.txt as attachment in your next reply.

Hi,

There is only 5.3GB of free disk space on the systemdrive, please increase the amount of available disk space, with at least 30GB. But first, run FRST again with the attached fixlist to remove some remnants and to cleanup the TEMP folders.

Warning: This script was written specifically for this system. Do not run this script on another system.

Perform a new scan with FRST, and attach FRST.txt and Addition.txt to your next post.

Before we can fix this problem, it is important that you free up enough disk space! With 7 GB of free disk space, Windows won't work properly. As stated in post#7 you'll need at least 30 GB of free space.

To find out which folders take up a lot of space, you can use TreeSize Free. Let me know when you succeeded in free up enough disk space.

If partition 4 is empty (unallocated) you can merge it with the systemdrive, for instance with Minitool Partition Wizard. If it is a recovery partition of Lenovo, you must leave it alone.

Partition 2: (Not Active) - (Size=456.6 GB) - (Type=07 NTFS)

Great, please run Windows Update and let me know the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS.log.

  • Click the Start button and in the search box, type CMD
  • When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator.
  • Copy and paste the following command into it, then press enter.
    Code:
    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
  • This command will create cbs.txt on your Desktop. Zip this file and attach the zipped cbs.txt to your next post.

Upload your COMPONENTS hive.
  • Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file.
  • Please copy this file to your desktop.
  • Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
  • Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To > Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your desktop.
  • If the file is too large to upload here, upload the file to www.wetransfer.com and post the link in your next reply.

Right-click on the Start button and click Windows PowerShell (Admin).
Copy and paste the following command into it, press enter afterwards
Code:
Get-WindowsUpdateLog
Wait for the message "WindowsUpdate.log written to C:\Users\<username>\Desktop\WindowsUpdate.log".
Attach the logfile WindowsUpdate.log to your next reply.

Hi,

Please run the following commands.
  • Click the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
  • When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator.
Copy and paste the following commands one at a time into the command prompt and press enter after each.
    Code:
    DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth
    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
    copy %windir%\logs\dism\dism.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\dism.txt"
  • The last two commands will create cbs.txt and dism.txt on your Desktop.
  • Post both logfiles as attachment in your next reply.
