Hi

I've been trying to navigate this error for the better of the last few months but alas to no avail.

I've tried following instructions laid out by Go the Power but i've ran into a slight complication.

1. I did the SFC/ SCANNOW

2. Ran the SFCFix.exe

The SFCFix Program completed it's run saying it had fixed the errors and that the operation was complete. and that's it....

There was no text file SFCFix.txt. Nothing. i admit im not terribly computer tech savvy but am i missing something?

Still have the 800700A1 Error.

Sherman.

Hello and welcome to the forum :)

Where my instructions clear? Is there anything that I can expand on? Sometimes when dealing with this issues daily, some things might appear as obvious to me but not to other people. ANy feedback to improve the article would be appreciated :)

Lets take a look at what is going on here:

Export CBS folder

  1. Right click on the

    button
  2. Click on File Explorer
  3. Double-click on the C: drive, scroll down to, and double click on the Windows folder.
  4. Find and double click on the Logs folder.
  5. Right-click on the CBS folder, and select Copy.
  6. Go back to your Desktop, right-click on it, and select Paste. You should now see a copy of the CBS folder appear on your Desktop called CBS.
  7. Right-click on this new folder, and navigate through Send to, and select Compressed (zipped) folder.
  8. A new file, also called CBS (CBS.zip), but this time with a different icon, will be created.
  9. Please rename this file to CBS_{Insert forum username here}_{insert todays Date here}.zip For example "CBS_Go The Power_1803.Zip"
Please Note:: if the file is too big to upload to you next post please upload via Dropbox or One Drive
