windows update fails with error: "An error occurred while checking for new updates for you computer. Error(s) found: Code 80070002 Windows Update encountered an unknown error."
I installed "System Update Readiness Tool for Windows 7" succesfully, but still the same problem.
I run "fsutil resource setautoreset true C:\", rebooted. Still the same.
Tried "sfc /scannow". It failed with error: "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation."
Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
