Windows update failed, 0x800F0900 - CBS_E_XML_PARSER_FAILURE

Hi there,

I have a windows 10 20h2 and for some months mains update don't work anymore, always the same error 0x800F0900.
I tried Windows diag tools but it didn't find anything.
I tried to follow instructions posted here but it didn't works too.

At step 2 it did sfc /scannow and it did find some corruptions so I jumped to step 4, It took 20 minutes but it couldn't repair and it didn't generate logs files.
So the only log I have is the CBS.

It seems there is some manifest issue.
Can you help me please?

Step 1 - Download

SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

WARNING! The following fix is specific to the user's system in this thread only. No one else should follow these instructions, as it could damage your system.

• Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
• Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

• SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
• Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
• Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2 - Perform a scan with the System File Checker

Click the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator.
When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following command into it and press enter.

sfc /scannow

When the scan is ready, take a screenshot of the commandprompt window and paste it into your next reply.
