I am unable to install any further Windows Updates due to system file corruptions. Here are the results of my SFCFix log...

I have tried running chkdsk which shows no disk errors. I then ran sfc /scannow which reports that there are errors which it cannot fix. I then ran the Windows Update Troubleshooter which reset my Windows Update, but I'm still unable to install any updates. I then ran the System Update Readiness Tool which reports the following errors in the CheckSUR.log file...

The two KB's listed above KB3033890 and KB3059317 are the two currently listed in my Windows Update which fail to load. I will attach my CBS.log shortly as the folder size is too large to do normally. Any further assistance that can be provided would be much appreciated. This is my last ditch effort before I just wipe the drive and perform a clean install. Thanks!

System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) Package Replacement

Warning: This fix is intended for use on this particular machine. Do not use this fix on any other machine; doing so may cause damage to your Operating System. If you are not the original poster and require assistance, please start your own topic.

  • Download the attached file, View attachment Packs.zip and save this file to your Desktop.
  • Right-click the file and click Extract All....
  • Place a checkmark next to Show extracted files when complete and click Extract.
  • A window will open showing two folders, Manifests and Packages.
  • Open the Manifests folder and copy the files into the following folder:

    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests

  • Open the Packages folder and copy the files into the following folder:

    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

  • Re-run the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) as you did before.
  • Upon completion, copy the contents of the SURT log found at C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log and paste in your next reply.

    + r on your keyboard at the same time. Type Notepad and click OK.
  • Copy the three bold lines below and paste into the Notepad document:

    sfc /scannow
    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\CBS.txt"

  • Click Format. Ensure Wordwrap is unchecked.
  • Click File, Save As and name the file sfcscannow.bat.
  • Select All Files as the Save as type. Save the file to your Desktop.
  • Locate sfcscannow.bat

No need to troubleshoot any further. Windows Updates are now working, and SFC is reporting no errors. I was even able to upgrade to Windows 10 when I couldn't before. Thank you very much, this can be marked as solved!
