Hi,

I have been trying to update my Fujitsu Lifebook AH532 to windows 8.1, I have been trying to do windows updates and have received thee following error "Code 800703F1" I searched this website and many others for a solution but none worked for me. I also have tried to update to windows 8.1 through Microsoft store, after it had downloaded and prepared to install I received an error "Couldn't update to windows 8.1, error code 0x80070004 - 0x2000D". i cant reinstall or reset my laptop as I cannot find the recovery disk, also the recovery partition got formatted a very long time ago by someone else.

A few things that I have tried :

- Resetting Microsoft store
- Using windows update troubleshooter to resolve the situation
- Attempted a system restore (only one I had was over 60 days and that failed)
-
sfc /scannow kept getting an error "windows resource protection could not start the repair service" (tried from windows and cmd from boot)
- disabling services and start up items from msconfig (Clean boot)

your help in resolving this issue will be much appreciated.

Kind regards.
