Hi there

We are trying to install KB5029250 on to two Windows Server Standard VM's on Hyper-V
On both ConponentsScanner and SFCFix and DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and with /StartComponentCleanup, no error reportet

This is the error after installing this KB

Info CSI 000004cd Component Microsoft-Windows-Security-SPP-Component-SKU-ServerDatacenter-License, version 10.0.20348.1194, arch amd64, nonSxS, pkt {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35} does not have a winner but has 2 other component version(s)
Error CSI 000004ce (F) Component directory missing for Microsoft-Windows-Security-SPP-Component-SKU-ServerDatacenter-License, version 10.0.20348.1194, arch amd64, nonSxS, pkt {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}.[gle=0x80004005]

Question: Does anyone knows that kind of error? Wich Component ist "Microsoft-Windows-Security-SPP-Component-SKU-ServerDatacenter-License" in the component hive and winsxs folder?

Thanks a lot for any help

Marcel

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

I assume Server 2019 is a typo in the title, please provide also a copy of the CBS logs.

Upload a copy of the CBS folder
  • Open Windows Explorer and browse to the C:\Windows\Logs folder.
  • Right-click on the CBS folder and choose Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder.
  • Now the message will appear, "Windows cannot create the Compressed (zipped) Folder here. Do you want it to be placed on the desktop instead?"
  • Click on the Yes button here.

  • Attach the file CBS.zip to your next reply.

Sorry, for my mistake.... it's not a 2019 server it's a 2022
see attached cbs log...

Best regards and thanks in advance

SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Afterwards attempt to update. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS logs.

Your are absolutly fabulous!

That did the trick!

Wher do you get that package from and how you associate the infos from cbs.log to this missing package folder?
For me, a "book with seven seals"

amd64_microsoft-windows-s..rdatacenter-license_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.20348.1194_none_42b88e9e669d00b0

We will donate as a appreciation

Great, glad the issue has been resolved. I'm running several VM's to use as source, and the name of the package is (almost) the same as in the CBS log. The only difference is that the package name is truncated.

And thanks for your donation to Sysnative.
I will mark this thread as solved then.
