Hi Friends!

Can someone help me? I getting the error when i try to install the KB4577671 - "2020-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1909 for x64-based Systems (KB4577671) - Error 0x800f0983"
In past i did a forced remove from a componet called "microsoft-ppiprojection" and from there i'm always getting errors when try to install some updates. My CBS log s is in attached of this post.
I saw a message in log file called "PSFX_E_MATCHING_COMPONENT_DIRECTORY_MISSING" and "HRESULT = 0x80070002 - ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND", i think its a dependency file that was previusly removed when i forced it the removal.

Thanks in advance!

Hi!

Step#1 - Capture Process Monitor Trace
1. Download and run Process Monitor. Leave this running while you perform the next steps.
2. Try updating the system just like you have in the past.
3. Stop Process Monitor as soon as it fails. You can simply do this by clicking the magnifying glass on the toolbar as shown below.

4. Select the File menu...Save... and save the file to your desktop. This is likely the default location. The name (unless changed) will be LogFile.PML. This is fine.
5. Zip up and provide the link to the LogFile.PML file as well as your CBS.log Examples of services to upload to are Dropbox or OneDrive or SendSpace.

Hi Friend,

I did what you said and add to the c:\windows\logs\cbs.log file too inside the compressed file. Follow the link above, and thanks for your help and reppy!
