Windows UPDATE Error: 80070490 - more than 1500 problems...

Hello and welcome to the forum.
This is large amount of corrupt files. Either the install crashed very bad, you have uninstalled an update which only partially complete or HDD failure.
The first thing to check is for HDD failure.

What I recommend from here is to run some HDD diagnostics. Please follow the steps here for SeaTools HDD Diagnostics. Run a Long test and a Short test, then report back the results to this thread.

chkdsk /f scan
- Click on the
button. Inside the search box type in CMD
- Right click on CMD => Choose Run as Administrator
- Inside the Command Prompt windows copy and paste the following commands
chkdsk /f - Reboot
- Download ListChkdskResult.exe (by SleepyDude) from Here
- Double click on it to run it. It will take a few seconds to scan, then it will open a Notepad window with the log. Copy and paste the contents of this into your next post please!

Thank You for Your advice - but i don't know if chkdsk will work cause i have SSD Drive. My notebook is brand new ( i bought it a 6th January this year).
I'm not a specialist, but some of the problems could appear after adding Polish language to my Win7. After adding language pack it was almost all ok but i was missing some polish dialectic symbols in some applications. It was sure that the problem lays in windows registry. So i tried multiply solution to solve it - some of them installed, some of them not. Finally i found some reg entries and all worked out. After "it worked" i clean registry with CCleaner.
Now i think i have problem which Framework ( or some other win component). I’m using my notebook mainly for CAD ( Solid Edge ST7) and regarding this i have problem in CAD functionality ( i tried product support - but it seems that it is not problem with SE ST7 but windows itself) Program is 100% OK, i have the same installation at my work CPU and they work just fine.
So from Your opinion - is it better to fix the system or complete reinstall it?

Did you delete values from the registry? or use a tool to do it? As for the registry cleaner, I would not recommend using this. As these have often caused more issues than good in the past.
This would be the quickest solution, it just depends on what has been deleted from the registry.
