I have been plagued by this error for months now, i have looked everywhere called Microsoft on multiple occasions and that got me no where so i'm here asking anyone if they can help me. It all started when i booted my PC on day and i got this endless loop of PC repair, no matter how much i shut it off and turned it on again i kept on getting this msg. After a while i gave up and clicked on the refresh and restore option because i did not want to loose all of my programs i have on my PC (i'm a gamer so i did not want to get rid of everything). Soon after that was done it booted up to my Desktop and everything looked fine but some programs were uninstalled like my itunes and a few others so i had to reinstall them. But during those installations i kept on getting errors that failed to reinstall them, After calling their tech support and a few others i got to the conclusion it was my windows update causing them. And here we are now months later and now its getting to the point i can't even play a few of my games because i need some programs like Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 runtime but i can't install them. So i'm asking for any help to fix this error, i'm loosing my mind trying to get this to work that i may end up doing a total reboot back to factory specs just to see if that works.

Hello and welcome

Due to the precise nature of your corruption, you will receive help from a user named LiquidTension. He's one of our senior trainees here who's in his final phrase of his studies and needs to gain some real world experience in specific areas of Windows Update. This means that he'll be assisting you, but that I will first need to double check and approve his fixes before he posts them to you. If anything this is a good thing for you because it means that you've got at least two of us watching over your thread, but it will unfortunately add a slight delay between each reply. I hope that you understand and can accept the need for us to train up new members in this way in order to carry on doing what we do here, however, if for any reason you object to this setup, I will happily take on your thread myself.

Thank you very much for your understanding. We'll be with you very shortly.

Thank you for the logs.

Are you interested in upgrading to Windows 10 now/foreseeable future?

Hello,

Given the nature of your current issues, a repair install appears to be the best option available. Please see below for instructions on how to perform a repair install: Repair Install Windows 8

After performing the repair install, please let me know if you still experience issues with your computer.
