[SOLVED] Windows Update Error 0x800B0100 consistently, and Windows Update Readiness Tool Fails

Alright. Follow the instructions below please, I'll test a theory.

Search for a Windows Update - Command Prompt
Follow the instructions below to search a Windows Update manually via the command prompt.
  • On Windows Vista & 7, click on the Windows Start Menu, then enter cmd in the search box, right-click on the cmd icon and select Run as Administrator
  • On Windows 8, drag your cursor in the bottom-left corner, and right-click on the metro menu preview, then select Command Prompt (Admin);
  • On Windows 8.1, right click on the Windows logo in the bottom-left corner and select Command Prompt (Admin);
  • Enter the command below (you can copy/paste it, to paste in the command prompt, right-click inside it and select Paste):
    • wmic qfe | find "KB3022345"
  • If the update is found, this command will return a line with the installation KB name, installation and Microsoft Support link for it. If it's not, nothing will appear;
  • Let me know if the update was found or not;

Follow the instructions below to run a SFC scan on your system and to provide the CBS log in your next reply;
  • On Windows Vista & 7, click on the Windows Start Menu, then enter cmd in the search box, right-click on the cmd icon and select

    Note: There's a space between "sfc" and "/scannow";
  • Once the scan is complete, enter the command below and press on Enter

    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
  • A file called cbs.txt will have appeared on your Desktop. Upload the file on Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive and post the download URL for it here;
Note: Please note that the CBS.log is volatile, which means that if you don't upload it after the SFC scan is completed, it won't contains the information from the scan anymore. So archive it and upload it as soon as you can.
 
Follow the instructions in the Method 1.

Remove the Get Windows 10 icon from the icon tray - Windows 10

Then take a screenshot of your Autoruns window once you use "gwx" as the filter and the results it gives. Attach it here please.

How to take a screenshot using the Snipping Tool
Follow the instructions below to take a screenshot using Windows' Snipping Tool:
  • Press on the Win Key + R to open the Run box;
  • Enter SnippingTool and press on Enter;
  • The Snipping Tool will open, asking you to choose the area to take in the screenshot;
  • Left click on the area where you want to start the screenshot, keep it, and drag the cursor across the screen;
  • Once done, release the left button to take the screenshot;
  • In the editing window, click on the File menu then Save As;
  • Save the screenshot in a folder that you can access easily;
  • Attach that screenshot in your next reply;

Speccy - Publish a snapshot
Follow the instructions below to download and install Speccy, then to publish a snapshot of your system information:
  • Download and install Speccy from Piriform (the download will start automatically a few seconds after clicking on the Speccy link);
    Note: You can opt-out the Google Toolbar installation if you want;
  • Once Speccy is installed, launch the program and give it a good minute to load all your system information;
  • After that, click on the File menu in the top left corner, and select Publish Snapshot;
  • A window will appear asking you to confirm your decision to publish a snapshot. Click on Yes;
  • A new window will appear after, with a URL link to your snapshot. Click on Copy to Clipboard button to copy that URL to your clipboard, then paste it in your next reply and post it;
 
Alright so your computer specs meet the Windows 10 requirements, next:

I see that your copy of Windows isn't activated yet. Being activated is one of the requirement for the "Get Windows 10" app to work. Is it possible to enter your product key, then restart and see if it launches?
