Hi,

We have a server that appears to be unable to install windows updates due to component hive corruption and I'm wondering if someone can help.

Output from: SFC /Scannow
C:\Windows\system32>sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.

Output from: Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
C:\Windows\system32>Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
Version: 10.0.17763.1282

Image Version: 10.0.17763.1282

[== 4.5% ]
Error: 1009

The configuration registry database is corrupt.

The DISM log file can be found at C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log

SFCFix appears to hang after running DISM (waited approx 24 hours for it to finish just incase). I've attached a screenshot of it.

CBS Log folder has been zipped and attached.

I've also zipped up the Components hive which can be found here: COMPONENTS.zip
