Hello,

I am having trouble updating my computer with Windows Update as it errors out with "0x800700c1"

I have tried resetting the components and still does not work. I have also tried DISM but this fails with a different error:

Code:
C:\WINDOWS\system32>DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
Version: 10.0.19041.844

Image Version: 10.0.19045.3448

Error: 193

%1 is not a valid Win32 application.

The DISM log file can be found at C:\WINDOWS\Logs\DISM\dism.log

Attached is the CBS.log and DISM.log

Code:
OS Name: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro
OS Version: 10.0.19045 N/A Build 19045

Any assistance is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
Code:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth
