Windows Update Error (0x80070006)

Hello Sysnative forum, I have an error when I try updating Windows:

There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x80070006)

I previously had a different error, but fixed that one. Once I did that, this error arose. My current version is 1803. I also have been infected recently by a virus, which I haven't fully recovered from but have a good amount. The next step I had to do was to run a series of updates, which I couldn't do, and was sent here from the Malwarebytes forum.

Download - View attachment ResetWUEng.zip
Create a new folder on your Desktop
Extract the downloaded zip file to the new folder
Right-click ResetWUEng.cmd file and select Run as Administrator
A windows will appear prompting you to continue -- Press Y
Another menu will appear. Press 2: Reset Windows Update Components.
Hit Enter after selecting 2
Wait until the process is complete.
You should see -
The operation completed successfully.
Press any key to continue. . .

Close the window and reboot your system

Sorry for the late reply, but yes it has, in this thread: Virus prevents any installation of virus removal or Windows defender
