[SOLVED] Windows Update corruptions related to KB3022345

Hi there,

I'm currently having issues with the KB3022345 update which causes the sfc /scannow to show file corruption. I'm unaware of any further file corruptions as I am unable to install anymore windows updates since installing KB3022345.

Here is the log from SFCFix and CBSlog to follow as it is too large

I'd like to see what the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) detected.

Download and run the System Update Readiness Tool for your version of Windows here: System Update Readiness Tool

This tool will take some time to complete - when it has finished, attach C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log with your reply.
 
Let's try to uninstall KB3022345.

  • Open Installed Updates by clicking the [FONT=WOL_Bold]Start[/FONT] button

    , clicking [FONT=WOL_Bold]Control Panel[/FONT], clicking [FONT=WOL_Bold]Programs[/FONT], and then, under[FONT=WOL_Bold]Programs and Features[/FONT], clicking [FONT=WOL_Bold]View installed updates[/FONT].
  • Click the update that you want to remove (KB3022345), and then click [FONT=WOL_Bold]Uninstall[/FONT].

    If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Let me know if it uninstalls successfully or not.
 
Unfortunately it was unsuccessful. No error code it just said the operation timed out and I got the same thing the four times I tried
 
Windows Update Package Replacement

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

  1. Please download the attached file, Packs.zip and save this to your Desktop.
  2. Right-click on the file and select Extract All...
  3. Tick the box labelled Show extracted files when complete then click Extract
  4. A window will open showing the folder, Manifests
  5. Open the Manifests folder and copy the files into the following folder

    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests

  6. Run the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) again.
  7. When the SURT finishes installing, copy (Ctrl + C) and paste (Ctrl + V) the contents of the SURT log into your next post please:

    C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log

Your log looks good.

Try checking for Windows Updates and install any that are offered.

If an update fails to install, zip and attach C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log
 
All updates were install successfully and sfc /scannow reports no corruptions. Thanks heaps for all you help :)
