windows update cannot currently check for updates, because updates on this computer are controller by your system administrator
[FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, lucida grande, helvetica, sans-serif]I'm running win7 home premium. I ran tweaking repair tool, and the problem persists. have any ideas why?[/FONT]
[FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, lucida grande, helvetica, sans-serif]sfc didn't throw any errors. checksur is without errors too.[/FONT]

it was HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\DisableWindowsUpdateAccess. The value should be 0, instead of 1
