Hi

I have, as many others, had problems with the error 800B0100 on windows update and it's causing headache because it will no matter what i've tried not install pending updates.

I'll attach a link to my CBS folder where you'll have both the newest checksur log and the CBSlog. Hope someone can find my problem and help me.

Thanks in advance :)

Hi Kuyt, welcome to Sysnative!

In future, please keep posting to one forum only as things get very, very confusing for us if you're also getting help elsewhere because our fixes may seem to be undoing themselves.

Hi Kyut,

No problem, these things can get quite frustrating at times so I completely understand, just a friendly reminder for the future.

As you've probably noticed, the CheckSUR log is indicating that all of the problems have been fixed so try running Windows Update now and let me know how you get on :)

Tom

Hi, yeah, it did indicate that, and 3 of the 4 updates went trough fine. However I'm getting an error on SP1, but it's not the same code so I'm running a few tools and checking that up a bit before i'll post my logs here :)

Ok, so the error code is 80070002 and the Update i'm trying to do is Windows 7 Service Pack 1 for x64-based Systems (KB976932)

Checksur.log.persist said No errors were found.

Kuyt

Hi Tom,

No, it's not taht, it's 80070002. And the update i'm trying to do is Windows 7 Service Pack 1 for x64-based Systems (KB976932)

I'll try to run a standalone version of SP1 and see if that will work!

Edit: Came up with a option

Ok, THat didn't work either.. Any ideas on what to do about this ? You need some log or information from me perhaps ?

Hi Tom,

So, that didn't help initially, but I decided to try standalone installer again after that FixIt and it finally worked and it seems all of my important updates are installed :-)

Thanks a lot for all your help, and hopefully I won't have any more problems with windows update in the future :)

Kuyt

Hi Kuyt,

That's great news, thanks for posting back the results!

You're most welcome for the help :)

Tom
