Because of licensing consideration I have done downgrade from Ultimate to Professional.
System runs OK but I can not do windows update with 800b0100 error.

I have tried SURT but that have not repaired corruptions.
Most of corrupted packages of ar-sa (Arabic) or fr-fr (French) language options that were left from Ultimate.
Professional installation is Turkish.

I have tried deleting ar-sa and fr-fr references from registery, also tried removing ar-sa and fr-fr packages from servicing/Packages and winsxs.
That gave too much errors, so replaced the files back.

I want to get rid of this Arabic and French packages, because it is not related with Professional installation.

Some English and Turkish packages has shown corrupt, may try to find them from an other machine after that.

Thanks in advance.

Hi fyesilova :)

My name is Aura and I'll be assisting you with your issue. Do you have your Windows 7 Pro installation media? If you want, you can run a Repair Install to fix these issues, which is quite fast. Otherwise I can always prepare a fix for these.

Thanks,

I have already done this UPGRADE install for conversion from Ultimate.
I think it will not change the main problem of leftover components.

if you think redo will change this, I will get an image of the system and do it again.

Alright, follow the instructions below please.

In that case, download the following Script.reg and save it on your computer. Double-click on it to merge the changes in your Registry. Let me know if you get an error message, or a success message while doing so.

I don't think it'll work since we aren't done yet :P I need a new CheckSUR.log to see if the Registry merge indeed worked.

  • Once downloaded, execute the installer, and go throught the installation (this process can take around 15-20 minutes);

  • Attach this log in your next reply;
Alternatively, if these instructions are unclear for you, you can follow the tutorial below.

It seems like the Script.reg importation failed despite the success message. Try it again using this Script.reg, it should work now. I had to spend 7 minutes breaking lines manually in it, since I'm sure Notepad is the issue here. Let me know if you get an error or success message after the merge.

returned success, see the picture.
but SURT report have not changed.

Tried to open with Registrar registery manager and we have an error message.

I'll take a look at your CBS Key.

Exporting the CBS Registry Key
Follow the instructions below to export the CBS Key from the Registry and upload it.
  • On Windows 7, click on the Start Menu button, then enter Regedit, right-click on the icon that will appear and select Run as Administrator;
  • On Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, press on the Win key + S keys, enter Regedit, right-click on the icon that will appear and select Run as Administrator;
  • In Regedit, in the left-pane, navigate to the Registry key below and select it by clicking on it:
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Component Based Servicing
  • Once the key is selected, click on the File menu and select Export...;
  • From there Save menu, change the Save as type: to Registry Hive Files (*.*);
  • Name the file CBS (without any file extension) and save it on your Desktop;
  • Upload the file on Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive and post the download URL here;

I'm not able to delete, nor modify anything from your CBS Key. If I use the Script.reg, it does through, but it doesn't do anything. I even tried it on two entries, but it didn't do anything. It looks like your Registry is corrupt from the downgrade. I would try another Repair Install at this point. Did you uninstall the Arabic and French language pack?

Years ago I have installed and uninstalled arabic and french to see the interface in these languages.
after that I have never used any of them.

You mean I should do a repair install again.

Yes, do another Repair Install. From there, we'll see if at least the Registry was repaired.

I have done reinstall and now SURT has no error.
Windows Update works ok after removing and installing .net framework.
Thanks for your help.

No problem fye, you're welcome :)
