[SOLVED] Windows sound suddenly crackle

Hello everybody,

I sure hope you guys can help me with this weird problem.
This morning, out of the blue, my sound just began to crackle, and tear, and sound awful.
I tried uninstalling my sound driver (from device manager) and installing it again - did not work.
I tried updating my motherboard and chipset drivers - the Intel website says my OS does not support the drivers so it cannot recognize any of them (what?).

I don't have any other ideas.

Please let me know if there are any files you want me to share with you in order to reach a solution.

Hi FIFATG,
Can you give us some system specs? Is this a laptop/tablet? Are you using external speakers, etc?
I'm assuming you did a reboot after uninstalling the drivers?

Problem disappeared after I updated my drivers again and again.
