[SOLVED] Windows Server 2022 Version 21H2 Update failed 0x8024001e

Receiving an update error on KB5034439. Attached are the logs from the server. SFC said corrupted files and DISM was successful.

Hi,

Step 1. Download

SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.

• Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
• Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
• Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

• SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
• Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
• Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the System File Checker and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.

Thanks Maxstar! I will be running this after hours so in about 6 hours and will post the results.

I will see the result tomorrow then, in about 6 hours it is almost midnight here... GMT+1

SFC /scannow came back clean. Reboot and got a different error for the windows update but it was because the Recovery Partition was too small. I followed the steps on an article to recreate it and the update ran successfully.
