Windows Server 2022 Update Error 0x800f0982

Good afternoon guys,
i'm facing of an issue with a Virtual Machine that runs Windows Server 2022. It started with Windows Cumulative update of May-2023. Till that month i was not able to install any cumultive updates.

The error reported from Windows Update is: 0x800f0983 (title's error is wrong, sorry). I've tried all possibile solutions coming from Microsoft Learn or websites in general. No one was helpful.

sfc /scannow: ok, no errors found
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth: completed, same error.

I'v tried to fix with dism online the WinSXS components choosing as source another server of my environment with the same OS version. The problem is still present

I'll report the CBS log and Components Scanner log file.

Step 1. Download

SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.

• Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
• Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
• Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

• SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
• Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
• Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.

DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth
