[SOLVED] Windows Server 2022 Update error (0x800f0982)

hey guys,

trying to update my Windows Server 2022 and getting always
Update error (0x800f0982)

sfc /scannow
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /checkHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

doesn't help or fix it.

and my attempts to understand the logs in the cbs are unsuccessful... I can't see the problem because of all the lines

Download

SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.

• Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
• Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
• Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

• SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
• Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
• Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Afterwards attempt to update. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS logs.

You're welcome. Glad to hear the problem has been resolved.

The errors are reported in the CbsPersist_20240111130901 log from line 333709 to 333951.

there are so many lines, did you only filter the file to the info column: "error" ?

All those lines belong to the same component which was corrupted.
