I have been having issues with the windows update referenced in the title on server 2019 VDI golden image.

SFC /Scannow finds no violations

Dism/online /cleanup-image /restorehealth completes without issue.

  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.

Hi,

Great, please attempt to update and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS logs.

Still failing but seems to have made it further than it did prior, I ran another sfc /scannow with no issues and dism/restore-health with no errors. Windows appears to attempt to apply the update but restarts and reverts the changes. As requested the CBS logs are attached.

Hi,

Upload the setupapi.dev.log file
  • Open Windows Explorer and browse to the C:\Windows\INF folder.
  • Right-click on the file setupapi.dev.log and choose Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder.
  • Now the message will appear, "Windows cannot create the Compressed (zipped) Folder here. Do you want it to be placed on the desktop instead?"
  • Click on the Yes button here.
