Hi,
I have one server 2019 which wont update I get an error Status: 0x800703f1. The server installs the update but after the required reboot the server rolls the update back on reboot.
I've tried dism and sfc and components checker.
in the setupapi.dev.log i see a problem with oposdrv.dll and oposdrv.inf maybe that is the problem but i don't no how to resolve that.

Here are the files: Drivers, CBS ComponentsScanner.txt and setupapi.dev.log files

Already thanks for helping

Latest CBS.log is not flagging anything, so please try updating your machine.

If successful please let me know.

If not please post me the CBS.log created after your update attempt.

Still no luck.
The server installs the update but after the required reboot the server rolls the update back on reboot.
Here the new CBS.log

The error is changed to: 0x80070003

Yes, figured that might happen, but needed to check that it would before proceeding further.

What we fixed last time, was the ability of your DRIVERS hive to load. Previously it couldn't be loaded by Regedit. Now that it can, CBS is able to tell us more than previously.

Can you please post me a new copy of your ..... setupapi.dev.log .... as the "new" Error showing in your latest CBS.log is driver related, and the new setupapi.dev.log should hopefully show which driver (or related registry entries) is causing the problem.

Thanks.

May take me a while to go through things, and source any necessary "patches", will get back to you as soon as I can.

OK, need a little more information, so can you please do the following ...

  • Download SFCFix.exe and save it to your desktop.
  • Download the attachment SFCFixScript.txt and also save it on your desktop.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Drag the SFCFixScript.txt file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
