TL;DR - Need to obtain clean (appropriate) version of tls_branding_config.xml to fix Windows Server 2019

Current issue: Package KB5013941 failed to be changed to the Installed state. Status: 0x80073712.

Problem back-story:

RMM reported errors on Dell BOSS C drive RAID.
Dell Support says to delete RAID and rebuild then reinstall OS and applications.
Datto has safe system snapshots taken before errors occurered.
Run Datto BMR utility to newly built RAID.
Now, we can no longer run Windows Updates without getting 0x80073712.

Ran SFC /SCANNOW
Ran DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth - first with Win Server 2019 ISO and then without.

Only one remaining file presents as bad.

Attached are the most recent CBS and DISM logs.

Anything else you need, please let me know.

Assistance in resolving this one borked file is very much appreciated (mostly because there's another server at the site in a similarly bad state).

Hi,

Step 1. Download

SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Reboot the system and run the System File Checker.
  • Click the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
  • When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator.
  • When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following command into it, and press enter.
    Code:
    sfc /scannow
  • Take a screenshot of the commandprompt window and paste it into your next reply.

Glad you found the appropriate file - looks like it is a keeper!

I truly appreciate your help on this one.

It'll take me a few more days to get things prepared on the second server.

Please run Windows Update again and let me know the result. If it fails please attach a new copy of the CBS log.

It'll take me a few more days to get things prepared on the second server.
Ok, please start for this server a new thread..
