Good morning, I have been dealing with a server that has been unstable now for about 3 weeks. Will work fine for a day, but the next morning we come in and cannot RDP to it, VM console goes crazy, and most of the time we just have to hard reset it. Tried numerous troubleshooting items to try and determine the problem, and have come up short so far. My last resort is here, as when I try to run the DISM tool on this system it does not complete successfully, gives me the 0x800f081f error. Nothing I have tried for providing the source files has worked.

I really appreciate any help you can provide! Attached are the requested files.

THANK YOU!

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

Step 1. Download

SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFixScript.txt and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFixScript.txt file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
Code:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth
