Hi all!

I have another VM with problems in Windows Update. On this occasion I think it is more complex because a CU and Framework fail. The VM has been like this for a long time. Only install Microsoft Defender security updates.

Error WUpdate.JPG

I am attaching CBS.log, ComponentsScanner.txt and folder COMPONENTS.zip

I would appreciate any help without any rush. Thank you.
Greetings!

Hi,

  • Name this file SideBySide (with no file extension) and save it to your Desktop.
  • Right-click on the saved file and choose Send > Compressed (zipped) Folder.
  • Attach the .ZIP file to your next post.
  • If the file is too large to upload here, upload the file to www.wetransfer.com and post the link in your next reply.

Hi,

  • Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
Code:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

Hi Maxstar and hi all!

Sorry for the delay.

I left the VM over the weekend checking the Windows image with the DISM command and this morning when I got to the office the Windows Updates were already working perfectly.

I am very grateful and as a token of my gratitude I am making a donation to contribute to the great work you do in this forum.

Thank you very much.
