I'm trying to install the Bitlocker feature on Windows server 2016 and it keep bombing with error

The CBS logs keep showing stuff like this-
Failed to pin deployment while resolving Update: Package_7343_for_KB5003638~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.1.7.5003638-15163_neutral from file: (null) [HRESULT = 0x80073701 - ERROR_SXS_ASSEMBLY_MISSING]

DISM .... /RestoreHealth is failing with:
Error: 1734
The array bounds are invalid.

SFC /Scannow did not find any issues

ComponentScanner shows 2833 warnings in the Components hive.

Thanks,
- Marc

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

Follow these instructions to remove an update.
  • Open the Start menu of Windows and type the command CMD
  • When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator.
  • When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following command into it, then press enter.
Code:
wusa /uninstall /KB:5003638
  • Let me know if it says it was successful or you get the message: The update KB5003638 is not installed on this computer.

Thanks for the reply. I tried that and it says that is is not installed.

Thanks,
- Marc

This worked! I got the Bitlocker feature added yesterday, rebooted last night and Bitlocker is now working.

Thanks for the help!
