Windows Server 2016 can not Update and Server Manager Role and Feature can not access too

Hello,

Please help me with an issue regarding my windows Server 2016 Standard (Desktop). I am unable to update it (now build 14393.5006) . And currently, my Server Manager is also showing an error, preventing me from accessing the 'Add Roles and Features' section. I have tried various troubleshooting methods using DISM and SFC, but the problem persists. This server is an Additional Domain Controller.

Do you have recent backups of this server? This because I expect the Components Based Servicing hive is badly damaged!

Export CBS (Component Based Servicing) hive

• Click on the Start button and type regedit
• When you see regedit on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator.
• When regedit opens, using the left pane, navigate to the following registry key and select it by clicking on it once.
  

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Component Based Servicing

• Once selected, click File > Export....
• Change the Save as type: to Registry Hive Files (*.*).
  
  
  
  
  
• Name this file ComponentBasedServicing (with no file extension) and save it to your Desktop.
• Right-click on the saved file and choose Send > Compressed (zipped) Folder.
• Attach the .ZIP file to your next post.
• If the file is too large to upload here, upload the file to www.wetransfer.com and post the link in your next reply.

I have exported the ComponentBasedServicing as you instructed in the attached file. Over the past 1-2 days, I have searched for and tried various methods, such as In-Place to reinstall the OS, but they have all failed

Hi,

The Component Based Servicing hive is damaged beyond repair / completely empty. So I would suggest to rebuild this server because you don't have any recent backups.
