Run the command Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth in a elevated commandprompt. When completed, provide a screenshot of the result and the file C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log. I've actually placed my two weeks' notice at my employer, so this will very shortly no longer be my problem. Click to expand... A job change. Why if I may ask.

I know you didn't ask for CBS.log, but I figured what the heck; it takes no extra effort for me to include it, just in case PeterJ said: A job change. Why if I may ask. Click to expand... Our company had a change in ownership in 2021, and I don't get along well with the new owner. Despite having worked alongside him for 10+ years, his ego has ballooned to the point where he's become intolerable, unfortunately. Now run the command Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth in a elevated commandprompt. When completed, provide a screenshot of the result and the files CBS.log and dism.log again.

DISM scans /CheckHeatlth and /ScanHealth reports all is fine but /RestoreHealth reports a problem. Shutdown and restart the server. Run the command Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth again in a elevated commandprompt. If the error 0x800f081f is reported again do following: Capture Process Monitor Trace 1. Open an elevated commandprompt. 2. Download and run Process Monitor. Leave this running while you perform the next steps. 3. Run the command Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth in the opened commandprompt. 4. Stop Process Monitor as soon as DISM has finished. You can simply do this by clicking the square icon on the toolbar as shown below. 5. Select the File menu...Save... and save the file to your desktop. This is likely the default location. The name (unless changed) will be LogFile.PML. This is fine. 6. Zip up and attach the file LogFile.PML as well as the files CBS.log and dism.log.

At this point, you know what, I think I'm going to pause progress on this indefinitely. Because the server is so old, and because the client has already ordered a replacement, I think we'll be OK with living with how things are. I deeply appreciate your assistance though, and the assistance of everyone here at Sysnative.com. It's been an outstanding experience working with you!
