Are you using a WSUS server in your enviornment or do you get updates directly from Microsoft? 2. When you check for updates, do you get a list of updates that need installed?

Code: wuauclt.exe /detectnow Wait awhile and let me know if updates are ready to install. No need to check for updates using Windows Update. This will help me narrow down the issue.

BrianDrab Emeritus Joined Oct 20, 2014 Posts 18,131 Location United States Feb 1, 2017 #8 No problem. Please do the following. 1. Download this file to your desktop. 2. Right-click on the file that you downloaded and select to Run as Administrator. Answer Yes to allow. 3. A black command-window should open and it will start running some commands. 4. At one point it will stop and ask "Try 2nd round of deletes (do more stuff) (Y/N)?". Please type Y and hit enter. 5. More commands will run and it will end with a web page opening or attempting to open. You can just close the page and ignore. Once this is done please try Windows Updates. If it does work it will take a lot longer only this time as it has to rebuild its Windows Update cache. Let me know how it goes.

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop. Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one. 2. Right click to run as administrator. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer. 3. Please ensure you place a check mark in the Addition.txt check box at the bottom of the form before running (if not already). 4. Press Scan button. 5. It will produce a log called FRST.txt in the same directory the tool is run from (which should now be the desktop) 6. Please copy and paste log back here. 7. Another log (Addition.txt - also located in the same directory as FRST64.exe) will be generated Please also paste that along with the FRST.txt into your reply.
