Windows Server 2008 R2 - Failing to install KB3191566

Hello,

I'm trying to update Powershell on a Windows SBS2011 server. It currently has Windows Management Framework 4.0 and .NET 4.5.2 installed. Every time I install WMF5.1 (Win7AndW2K8R2-KB3191566-x64.zip) either by the Powershell command that is attached to the ZIP file or by running the KB319566 itself, it appears as though the update has installed. Asks for a restart, which I do. The server restarts and shows Configuring updates. But as soon as it hits 100%, says Failure to configure updates...reverting changes.

I have attached CheckSUR & CheckSUR.persist logs.

I'd try the following:

Restart Windows in Safe Mode w/networking.

Download Windows Repair (All-in-One) Portable

• Extract the tweaking.com_windows_repair_aio.zip to c:\Windows\TEMP the zip will extract to a folder called Tweaking.com - Windows Repair
• Execute the file Repair_Windows.exe from the Tweaking.com - Windows Repair folder, accept the Security warning and the EULA
• Click the button Jump To Repairs
• Click the Open Repairs button to access the following screen:
  
  
• Click the box All Repairs to uncheck all the boxes
• Check only the following boxes:
  • Reset Registry Permissions
  • Reset Service Permissions
  • Reset File Permissions
• Check the box Restart/Shutdown System When Finished > Restart System
• Click the Start Repairs button
• When the system reboots, attempt the update again.
