I'm trying to run Windows Update but keep getting the following Error Code 800B0001

Here are all the steps I've tried so far but none have worked

1. Stopped the Windows Update service and renamed the "SoftwareDistribution" folder, restarted the service and tried running windows update again but got the same error.

2. Downloaded the System Update Readiness Tool (Windows6.1 -KB947821-v33-x64) but when I try run it I get the following error message Installer encountered an error: 0x800b0001 Unknown trust provider.

3. I then tried to run the System Update Readiness Tool manually by doing the following

C:\Users\Administrator>cd c:\servicing

c:\servicing>expand Windows6.1-KB947821-v33-x64.msu -F:* sur

c:\servicing>cd sur

c:\servicing\sur>CheckSURPackage.EXE /Quiet /WindowsUpdate /DeleteBadCab /pkgversion=10.0 /fixcab=%windir%\CheckSur\v1.0\*.CAB /fixcab=%windir%\CheckSur\*.CAB /pkgdownload /SmallSPVersions=6.0.6001.18000,6.0.6002.18005,7.0.6002.18005

4. Once completed I tried to run windows update again but got the same error message.

5. I then tried running System File Checker using the following command sfc /scannow which completed but didn't clear the error.

6. I then came across this forum and tried the various options mentioned even running SFCFix which produced the following notepad attached.

If anyone could provide me a solution to this problem I would really appreciate it.

Was that the whole folder? Where these logs in there?

C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.persist.log

I'm sorry manga411 but this is about of errors is not realistic to fix.

Code:
Seconds executed: 490
 Found 4113 errors
 Fixed 2305 errors
CSI Catalog Corrupt Total count: 1471
Fixed: CSI Catalog Corrupt. Total count: 768
CBS Catalog Corrupt Total count: 1105
CSI Catalog Thumbprint Invalid Total count: 1537
Fixed: CSI Catalog Thumbprint Invalid. Total count: 1537

It would take me days to repair all those files. The fact that 4113 files were corrupt in the first place means that there is a bigger issue that needs to be to looked at, did the server recently crash or have HDD failure? It is not normal to see this many corruptions unless a HDD has corrupt sectors, or did you import a COMPONENTS Registry hive either from another server or the internet?

Before doing anything else I would recommend that you back up any important data that is on your server, in case this is a HDD failure, once that is done please continue.

I suggest you run a HDD diagnostics on this server to check for any bad sectors, then run a scan with chkdsk /f.

Edit, but this server will need to be reformatted in order to fix these corruptions. I am sorry.
