[SOLVED] windows restore stuck on initializing with spinning blue circle

Hi guys, I cant seem to do a windows restore on my computer. It seems to get stuck on initializing at 0%. I have done it on safe mode and it is the same story. I trying to get it done cos I am having trouble opening my games after doing some twitching to my computer cos it kept hanging. I'm afraid i may have deleted some important documents.

I have done a System File Checker and seem to have lots of errors on my cbs file. I am not sure what to do from here and will really appreciate it if someone could help me.[h=1][/h]

It appears that only one file is corrupted, and it's a known one under Windows 8 and 8.1. SFCFix should take care of it. Follow the instructions below please.

SFCFix - Run Only
Follow the instructions below to download and execute SFCFix, and provide the log.

• Download SFCFix and move the executable on your Desktop;
• Right-click on SFCFix.exe and select
  
  Run as Administrator;
• Follow the instructions displayed in the console;
• On completion, a log will open in Notepad. Copy and paste the content of that log in your next reply;
  Note: The log (SFCFix.txt) will be created in the same directory where SFCFix is run if it doesn't open automatically on completion.

I have done my SFCFix and currently doing the window restore right now on my laptop on safe mode and it still seems to be stuck on the System Restore is initializing screen. Any clue on what else I can do?

Your corrupted file was repaired so this is taken care of. Did you try deleting every Restore Points so far, then creating a new one and see if it works? Or do you want to restore to a specific one?

Back with update! After 1/2 an hour the System Restore initializing screen have moved on and the window restore continued. Glad to say I am now able to on the games again. Thank you Aura
