Hi,

when I run the sfc /scannow, it fails at 53%. It seems like the error is this

2015-01-31 12:09:38, Error
CSI 000003e1 (F) STATUS_OBJECT_NAME_NOT_FOUND #4585659# from Windows::Rtl::SystemImplementation::DirectFileSystemProvider::SysCreateFile(flags = (AllowSharingViolation), handle = {provider=NULL, handle=0, name= ("null")}, da = (SYNCHRONIZE|FILE_READ_ATTRIBUTES), oa = @0x95f56cbf68->OBJECT_ATTRIBUTES {s:48; rd:NULL; on:[94]"\??\C:\Windows\WinSxS\amd64_netathrx.inf_31bf3856ad364e35_6.2.9200.16384_none_cbd5fabae1c7796a"; a:(OBJ_CASE_INSENSITIVE)}, iosb = @0x95f56cbf48, as = (null), fa = 0, sa = (FILE_SHARE_READ|FILE_SHARE_WRITE|FILE_SHARE_DELETE), cd = FILE_OPEN, co = (FILE_SYNCHRONOUS_IO_NONALERT|0x00004000), eab = NULL, eal = 0, disp = Invalid)

Hi,

the problem is solved. Some minutes after mounting (dism /mount-image /imagefile:F:\sources\install.wim /index:1 /mountdir:C:\offline) the install.wim from an install DVD and running dism /online /cleanup-image /restoreHealth /source:c:\offline /limitaccess, Windows told me that it would reboot in 15 min. While shutting down the system, it stucked at 1 of 1 update. After 18 hours I decided to do a hard-shut down. After that the installation of Win 8.1 finished after only an hour and sfc /scannow failure was gone.

Thank you for your attention.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Can you please upload a new CBS log? Just to make sure nothing else has gone wrong?
